In ‘Sunday’Ayesha Takia plays a struggling singer

In Ayesha Takia’s forthcoming film ‘Sunday’, she will be playing a singer. The film also stars Ajay Devgan as the protagonist.

Directed by ‘Golmaal’ director Rohit Shetty, ‘Sunday’ is the remake of Telugu hit ‘Anukokunda Oka Roju’. It is being produced by Devagan’s manger and good friend Kumar Mangat (producer of Omkar).

In the film Ayesha Takia plays a chorus singer struggling to make a career in playback singing. One night she goes to a wild party on the insistence of her friend. A few days later she finds herself being chased by unidentified men who try to murder her. The film deals with the mysterious happenings that occurred on that night where she went to party. It’s a performance oriented role and like ‘Dor’, she will be wearing less make-up. The film is being shot in New Delhi.
